Goodwill Industries of the Greater East Bay
The Goodwill in Oakland, California wanted to increase their speed and accuracy of reporting and eliminate unproductive manual data entry time, without replacing their existing POS software or hardware, or having to extensively re-engineer recording and reporting processes.
Our solution, accomplished in a matter of a few weeks, was to automatically extract data on a daily basis from the POS software's Paradox database and write it out to the various spreadsheets and reports used by management.
The information extracted or calculated includes items such as total sales, sales by store, sales/volume by product, coupons/discounts and summary for general ledger update. Sales reports are generated within minutes instead of days!
No user intervention is usually required by the automated process which generates a Green/Yellow/Red dashboard that gives management 'Status at a Glance' on the day's figures.
